01 The standards we're held to
As a tax and financial services provider, Precise Method Inc is subject to federal data-security law — not just best-practice suggestions:
- FTC Safeguards Rule (Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act): we maintain a written information security program covering how client data is stored, accessed, and disposed of.
- IRC §7216: your tax return information is used only to perform the services you engaged us for. It is never used for other purposes without your specific written consent.
- IRS e-file provider requirements: as an authorized ERO, we follow IRS rules for the secure handling and transmission of e-filed returns.
02 How your documents are handled
- Documents are exchanged through secure channels — not left sitting in ordinary email threads.
- Access is limited to the people working on your file.
- Records are retained only as long as legal and tax requirements demand, then disposed of securely.
- For ITIN applications, your original identity documents are verified and returned to you on the spot — certification means we never keep or mail your originals.
03 Your communications
- Our phone and text line (833-454-4794) runs on a carrier-verified, 10DLC-registered business messaging system.
- We never sell or share your phone number or opt-in information for marketing purposes.
- Text STOP at any time to end messages; details are in our Privacy Policy.
04 What we'll never do
- Sell your personal or tax information. Ever.
- Use your tax return data to market unrelated products without your specific written consent.
- Ask for sensitive information like full account numbers over text or unsecured email.
A note on phishing: the IRS will never call, text, or email you demanding immediate payment — and neither will we. If you receive a suspicious message claiming to be from us or the IRS, call us directly at 833-454-4794 before responding.
